Sway Carnival 5 - Results 2008
The 159 runners found perfect running weather for this year run. The first male runner home was Bournemouth AC Runner Ian White in a time of 28mins 37secs, which equals the Course Record, Second home was a New Forest Runner - Oli Dodd in second (29.18) and another Bournemouth AC runner, Andrew Jennings was third (29:54).The first lady home was Valeria Sesto of New Forest Runners in a time of 33.33, a New Course Record, second home was New Forest Runner Gail Walters (36.44) and third was Reading Road Runners Jacqueline Smith (36.59). This race is part of a series which includes Everton 10K, Hoburne 5, Milford 5 and the Christmas 10K. A trophy will be awarded to the best male and female performers over the series. One point will be awarded per placing (1 point for first place, 2 for second etc.) The winners will be the ones with the least number of points accumilated. We will publish a league table regularly so that runners can see where they stand. The Christmas 10k entry has now been closed but provision has been made for those in contention to win the series to be entered if they have not already done so. A decision on who is elegible will be made following the Hoburne 5 race.
